Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice provide care to children and young adults whose lives are sadly just too short – both in their own homes and in the Bluebell Wood Hospice in North Anston.

The dream of Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice began in 1998, with the vision to help families in this area who wanted an alternative to hospital care. Fundraising started when 11-year-old Richard and his mum wanted him to pass away at home.

In 2004, the dream came true and the hospice began to be built. On 19th September 2008, Bluebell Wood opened its doors to the first families who needed them.

Since then, Bluebell have supported hundreds of children from across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire.
